Demonstrations Alert

There will be large crowds in the vicinity of the Faisal Masjid (Mosque), located at the intersection of Khyaban-E-Margalla Road and 8th Avenue in Islamabad, beginning at 7:30 pm and ending at 3:30 am tonight (Tuesday, October 9) through Friday night (October 12.)  The gatherings are for prayer services marking the ending of Ramadan.  American citizens may wish to avoid this area as road closures and checkpoints to and from the Faisal Mosque are expected.
