Demonstrations Alert

Constitution Avenue has been closed between Radio Pakistan and D intersection (in front of the Parliament building) due to 500 protestors chanting anti-Musharraf slogans in front of the Supreme Court building. American citizens are advised to avoid Constitution Avenue until the road reopens. We wish to remind American Citizens that even demonstrations intended to be peaceful can turn confrontational and possibly escalate into violence.
