Khabr-o-Nazar's Current Issue Highlights Sixty Years Of Pak-U.S. Friendship
08/15/2007Islamabad – The latest issue of the U.S. Embassy’s new-look monthly magazine, “Khabr-o-Nazar” (News and Views), features the sixty years of Pakistan-U.S. friendship and a pictorial collage of the landmark contacts between the two leaderships, the U.S. Embassy announced today.
“These historical photographs provide us an opportunity to peep into the past and cherish the mutual friendship and cooperation based on shared values and mutual interests,” Press Attaché and Editor-in-Chief of “Khabr-o-Nazar,” Elizabeth O. Colton, said.
The August issue also highlights the restoration of the façade of the Lahore Fort’s Alamgiri Gate from the U.S. Ambassador’s Fund for Cultural Preservation. Also of interest to the readers will be the report on the country-wide performance of the American pianist Mike del Ferro who entertained audiences in Islamabad, Peshawar, Karachi and Lahore.
The current issue also highlights various activities of USAID and the three U.S. consulates in Lahore, Peshawar, and Karachi. The latest issue also highlights the delivery of two F-16 planes by the U.S. government to the Pakistan Air Force and Ambassador Anne Patterson’s talk on “women in the workplace.”
