Islamabad police have lined Constitution Avenue in preparation for possible protests at approximately 10:30 a.m. The street is still open but razor wire and barriers are in place and the street may be closed on short notice from Agha Kahn road to near the UN gate entrance.
In addition, the main road from Peshawar to Islamabad is closed, and the other side of the road -- from Islamabad to Peshawar -- is blocked by traffic.
Americans are advised to avoid these areas and to continue using precaution while traveling throughout Islamabad.
