At 7:30 am Thursday, September 27, Constitution Avenue between Sharah-i-Jamhuriat and the Marriott Hotel will be closed to the general public. Ataturk Avenue, both East and West, Sharah-i-Jamhuriat and Jinnah Avenue will remain open to general traffic.
Ataturk Avenue East and West will be used for linking Jinnah Avenue with Khyaban-i-Suhrawardi (University Road near Serena Islamabad). We have not been told how long this road closure will be in effect.
The Grand Trunk Road connecting Islamabad to Peshawar and Lahore may also be closed for some time tomorrow. Please use caution when traveling in those areas.
