U.S. Condemns Bombing In Peshawar

Islamabad - U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan Anne W. Patterson today condemned the terrorist bombing in Peshawar that claimed the lives of over 40 people.  "This attack serves only to highlight the vicious and inhuman nature of the terrorists who aim to instill fear in the hearts of the Pakistani people," the Ambassador said.  "The United States will continue to stand by the Government of Pakistan in its fight against terrorism."

"We extend our sympathy to the families and friends of those who lost their lives in this attack, and our prayers go out to those who were injured in the hopes they will recover quickly." said Patterson.
