U.S. Secretary Of State Reaches Out To Pakistanis Through New Media

Islamabad - The first visit to Pakistan by Hillary R. Clinton as U.S. Secretary of State that begins today is not only be covered by the traditional press, TV and radio, but also by Pakistan's enthusiastic and growing on-line media community. The Secretary's activities and discussions are being covered by citizen reporters everywhere on the hot new social networking sites "Twitter," "Flickr," and "Facebook."
A special Twitter feed (http://twitter.com/americagov) is following Secretary Clinton every step of the way during her activities in Pakistan. Secretary Clinton's fans and participants at all of her Pakistan events will be using the "Twitter" hash tag address #HillaryTravel to share thoughts and discuss the important issues addressed during her visit. Participants at her events are posting both professional and cell-phone photos on "Flickr" using the same tag, #HillaryTravel.
