U.S. Condemns Assassination Of Iranian Consulate Employee

Islamabad - The Embassy of the United States in Pakistan condemns the assassination of Abu Al Hassan Jafferi, press staff of the Iranian Consulate, in Peshawar today and offers its condolences to his family.  The murder of a consulate employee represents a new tactic by extremists hoping to isolate Pakistan from its supporters in the international community. It will not succeed. The international community is firm in its support of the Pakistani people and their democratic government.
