U.S. To Assist KPk Economic Revitalization

Peshawar - The U.S signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPk) Chamber of Commerce and Industries today to help the Chamber develop and implement a strategic plan to rebuild and revitalize the flood-affected province.

"This partnership will stimulate economic growth in agriculture, industry, trade, transport, infrastructure, and energy," U.S. Consul General in Peshawar Elizabeth Rood said after signing the agreement.

The Chamber, with assistance from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), will form working groups for each sector consisting of representatives from academia, the business community, relevant government organization, experts from other donor agencies, and international experts fielded by implementing partners.
